Sydney is a relatively new city, but has already established its dominance as one of the world leaders in contemporary architecture. One of the most famous landmarks in the world, the Sydney Opera House is a masterpiece of Modern Expressionism. Here, you’ll draw inspiration from your surroundings as you develop your architectural style and identity in a city that endlessly reinvents itself.
A hotbed of diversity, Sydney offers a new experience everywhere you turn. Meet people from all over the world as you share your perspective and learn something new.
Use our workshop to develop your core skills and competencies for the workload ahead of you.
In this session, you’ll work closely with professional coaches and speakers as you undertake exercises in key competencies. A typical session will take you through effective leadership, team skills, professional confidence, and more.
Your time in this workshop will leave you ready to face any challenge that your internship, and career, could throw at you.
You’ll have the opportunity to undertake a 1-to-1 career session while in Sydney. Alongside a professional coach, take some time out to consider what you’ve achieved to date. Then cast your mind out to the future.
An early appointment is a way of setting the stage for your time in the city. Set out the goals you’d like to meet and outline your expectations for your internship. Otherwise, a mid-point session is a good way of balancing your meeting. Look back at what you’ve gained so far, then consider what changes you can make in your remaining weeks.
Lastly, take your appointment in your final days in order to reflect on a completed program. What did you achieve and what could you have done better? Cap off your session by considering the opportunities that await you after leaving Sydney.
And at any point in your program, we’ll offer you personalized career advice and interview tips. We can assist you as you get your CV or resume up to scratch; or help you polish your LinkedIn profile.
Boost your employability and skill-set with our online tools and resources.
Here are just some examples of the support we provide:

– Online interview skills seminars
– Sessions on building your brand and communication
– And many more useful resources you can access at any time
If you’ve got a sharp eye for detail and a capacity for hard work, you’ll go far in the Architecture sector. Here’s a few examples of the kinds of tasks that might await you in the city:
– Conduct and implement project research
– Undertake site visits as you shadow surveyors and architects
– Collaborate with designers, consultants, urban planners, contractors etc.
– Create outlines and 3D models and get to grips with specialized architecture software such as Rhino 3D
– Assist in client consultations and liaise with suppliers

And the stunning natural landscapes aren’t to be missed, either.

Lying a few hours west of Sydney, journey out to the Blue Mountains for an epic experience you won’t soon forget. From the thundering Wentworth Falls to the picturesque village of Leura, home to shops and cafes, there’s so much to see and do here.
Iconic all around the world, put on your best clothes for a night on the town as you visit the Sydney Opera House. It might be a laugh-a-minute comedy show, an epic evening of opera, or a fantastic concert orchestra; whatever you enjoy, there’s no other venue like it. Finish off your evening with a delicious dinner at a high-class restaurant.
Dive into the heart of Sydney as you enjoy as many delectable delights of the city’s culinary scene as you can handle. Here’s a snapshot of a typical 6-week Sydney Architecture internship.
After months of careful planning and excitement, you’ve finally made it: welcome to Sydney. A sunny city of fun and impressive architecture awaits you. First, let us take you to your new home for the next few weeks. On the rest of your first day, you might want to catch some R&R as you kick back after a long flight. Otherwise, head out to start exploring the city.
Whatever you choose, you’ll join us on your second day for your welcome orientation. This is your opportunity to get acquainted with what to expect from your internship, including social events and trips. You might also want to head out to your very first social event that evening. Meet your new friends and fellow interns for the first time as you enjoy delicious Aussie style cuisine.
On your first day of work, head over to your firm and introduce yourself. You’ll be working closely with your team as you develop your architectural abilities; draw on their knowledge and experience in order to improve your own skills. Your colleagues are here to see you succeed, so get cracking.
One way of preparing yourself for your workload is by attending our skills workshop. Whether it’s team skills or the basics of professional confidence, it’s a great way of picking up something new to apply to your internship.
Soon enough, it’s time for the first of your half-day trips. Welcome to the Blue Mountains, an impressive expanse and World Heritage area. See if you can spot the Three Sisters, one of Australia’s most famous landmarks!
It’s your third week in Sydney, and you feel as if you’ve already gained plenty of fantastic Architecture experience: whether it’s carefully designing room interiors or building plans; or assessing sites alongside colleagues and clients. Schedule some time out with your manager to discuss what you’ve learned so far.
It’s been a busy few weeks, so why not unwind with your friends at a community dinner? Sydney has countless international cuisines at its disposal, so take your pick and enjoy. There’s no better way of taking a break from your workload; afterwards, take a walk home along the harbor.
You’ll have met plenty of your fellow professionals already; we’ll help out by sending you an invite to a top industry session. Grow your network as you impress leaders in Architecture; make the right connection and it might just pay off.
Next up, it’s your second tour. Take a trip to the world-famous Sydney Opera House; enjoy a show and some drinks, then cap off your evening with dinner at a nearby restaurant.
The end of your time in Sydney is near, and you’re looking to take some time out to reflect. Pencil in your session with your career coach; go through your achievements and what you could have done better. Then discuss what opportunities await you after returning home.
Complete your trio of trips with a delicious food tour in the heart of Sydney. Whether it’s Australian dishes or authentic food from all over the world, try it all!
Now, you’ve got one last event on the horizon. Meet up with your friends at your farewell dinner; say goodbye as you reminisce about your favorite memories of your time in the city. In your remaining free time before your flight is due to depart, make the most of Sydney. Head over to the Museum of Human Disease; or enjoy some Japanese-style photobooths at Purikura Photoland!
