We’ll design your internship with your career goals and skill-set in mind.
With start dates every month, and lasting anywhere between one and six months in length, you’ll be able to choose the internship that works for you.
Working in Amsterdam will be a relaxed and creative experience. The Dutch may be a little more informal than you’re used to, but they’re highly collaborative and hard-working; you’ll appreciate having your voice and opinion valued in every meeting. Most of all, the Dutch place great stock in mutual trust. Remain honest and direct and you’ll earn their respect.
Amsterdam is a global, interconnected hub, and you’ll forge plenty of links with other European cities while you’re here. And the unique and blended perspective you’ll gain will be unmatched. Study the work of the Dutch Masters to learn something new; the Rijksmuseum is the perfect place to immerse yourself in a culture famous for its artistic creativity.
We carefully design our workshop to help you develop your core competencies for your internship. Here you’ll sharpen existing skills and learn something new.
You’ll learn with the guidance of professional coaches and inspirational speakers; a typical session might focus on team skills, communication, and personal branding.
You’ll leave feeling reinvigorated for the weeks ahead, ready to apply yourself anew to your internship.
This 1-to-1 career session is a fantastic opportunity to look back on your achievements to date. Consider your strengths and weaknesses, then reflect on your next steps in the industry.
Your schedule will be packed with meetings, dinners, and trips; so pencil in this session at the right time for you.
If you’d like to thoroughly prepare for the weeks ahead, take an early appointment. Or a mid-term session is a great way to split your focus; consider both your progress so far and any improvements you’d like to make.
Alternatively, you could take your career session in the final days of your internship. This is a great opportunity to look back on what you’ve gained; as well as set out a roadmap for your future career.
And don’t forget, we’ll offer tailored career advice and interview tips at any time during your program. Whether that’s assisting you with your CV or resume; or helping you to build the perfect LinkedIn profile.

As the weeks progress, you’ll find yourself feeling increasingly comfortable in your internship. Whether that’s working with clients to iteratively produce new graphics to their specification; or putting together detailed documents on all the latest trends and styles for your colleagues. Now’s a good time to head out to one of Amsterdam’s trendy coffee shops and chat with your manager about how you’re getting on.
With English widely spoken in Amsterdam, you’ll have made plenty of connections already. To assist you as you develop your growing network, we’ll send out an invite to a top industry meet-and-greet session. Head along and get to know top creatives in the industry; it might just pay off.
Next up is your second trip. Prepare to take a deep dive into Amsterdam as you discover history, culture, and food! Hop from market to market and sample everything. Then pick up a few souvenirs to remind you of your time in the city.
Your internship is drawing to a close, and you’re in a reflective mood. You’ve been considering what you’ve gained while in Amsterdam; including professional Design experience, life-long friends, professional contacts, and a complete cultural education. You hadn’t realized how much you’d grown in just six weeks. So if you haven’t already, arrange your 1-to-1 career session to plan out your next steps with a professional coach.
Conclude your cultural education with a visit to Zaanse Schans. This 18th century throwback is a fantastic way to cap off your time in Amsterdam. Experience authentic historical sights and try some delicious freshly baked goods.
Before you know it, it’s time for your goodbye dinner. Put on your best clothes and meet up with your community for one last time.
