We’ll work with you to build the perfect art, design or photography internship.
With start dates every month, that last between one to six months, choose the right Art, Design, and Photography internship program for you.
Seoul has enjoyed a cultural renaissance in the last few years. The Korean Wave, beginning in the 1980s, has reached its peak as Korean culture fills our global fashion runways, music charts and film screens. And Seoul is at the heart of this explosion of culture. Visit the striking Dongdaemun Design Plaza (itself a tribute to design eccentricity), to discover fashion brands and art exhibitions.
Alternatively, experience a multitude of green spaces for a masterclass in urban landscaping. For the creative mind, however you choose to specialize in this industry, Seoul is a veritable playground.
South Korean business culture is centered around respect and collaboration. Ensure that you remain professional, and demonstrate that you value each and every one of your colleagues; you’ll soon thrive.
Under the guidance of qualified coaches and inspirational speakers, undertake exercises in key skills in our immersive workshop.
Hone your abilities and gain some new knowledge. Typical workshops focus on core competencies like leadership, diversity & inclusion, team skills and communication.
You’ll leave ready to apply your newfound skills and knowledge to your internship; as well as any future endeavours.
In this 1-to-1 session, look back on your career so far and plan for your future success. Working with a qualified coach, consider your achievements, successes, and failures. It’s a great way to identify areas for improvement.
You’ll find your schedule packed with meetings, dinners, and trips. So you can pencil in this session at a suitable time for you.
Some interns prefer an early appointment. Here you can thoroughly prepare for your time in Seoul. Others take a meeting half-way through their internship for a session of two halves. The first half to look back at your time so far. The second, to consider the next steps to make during the rest of your program.
Lastly, you can schedule a coaching session towards the end of your internship. This is a good way to conclude your program. Plus, you’ll also be able to set out a personal roadmap of career goals.
And at any point in your internship, you’ll have access to personalized career and interview advice. We’ll help you get your resume and LinkedIn profile up to scratch; or assemble a professional portfolio.
You’ll have access to an online portal of skills and employability resources while in Seoul.
Examples of the support we provide include:
– A personal development plan toolkit
– Online interview skills seminars
– Sessions on communication or building your brand
– And many more useful resources you can access at any time
For creative types, the art and design sector in Seoul is an incredible place to develop your artistic style. You’ll be busy as you juggle the competing demands of clients and stakeholders; but work hard and you’ll flourish. Here’s some examples of the tasks you might undertake on your Art, Design, & Photography internship:
– Assist in the set-up of location shoots
– Research current photography trends and styles
– Touch and retouch images to maintain consistency
– Create branded content based on clients’ briefs
– Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using bespoke software

The wait is over as you finally land at Incheon International Airport. With its own golf course and ice-skating rink, it’s constantly voted as one of the world’s best airports!
Take some time to breath it all in and get settled into your accommodation. Don’t take too much of a pause because you’ll be joining us for an orientation and welcome lunch the next day. You’ll meet the other interns and get busy making friends from every corner of the world.
The first day of your internship will be full of exciting new experiences. You’ll get to know your new team and have a chance to check out the office you’ll be working in.
Get your first taste of banchan at a community dinner and talk over your new experiences together.
As your internship progresses, you will become increasingly confident in your new skills. You’re comfortable setting up the perfect location shoot. Communicating with clients is now easier so you can successfully meet their briefs and design fantastic new logos or illustrations. It’s the best time to head out with your manager – perhaps to one of Seoul’s numerous quirky cafés – and consider your progress so far.
With people streaming in and new connections being made every day, Seoul is your playground. You’ll likely have met a few contacts already; but to help you build up your network, we’ll send out an invite to an exclusive industry event. Get to know other creative practitioners, experienced artists, designers and photographers. Make the right connections to unlock even more opportunities.
Next, it’s your food tour. Experience an unparalleled culinary adventure as you learn about Seoul through its varied and distinct cuisine. Try it all; from the authentically Korean to the invitingly international. Pick up some cooking tips of your own and discover your favorite dishes.
You’ll be fully at home in your Internship now, so it’s a great time to look ahead.
If you’ve not done it already, make sure you fit in your 1-to-1 career coaching session. It’s a chance not many professionals get and lets you explore your dreams and ambitions. You can chat over the things you’re finding a little tougher, and set goals and plans for your future career success.
Lastly, begin looking forward to the trip to Andong. From its 600-year-old houses, to the retelling of the histories of the Ryu family from the Joseon Dynasty who lived in the village, you’ll have a seriously fascinating time.
All good things must come to an end and we’ll make sure you get a great send off at our farewell dinner. Say goodbye to the amazing people you’ve met and get ready to head home.
