You’ll soon adapt to life in Tokyo, but the city always has something new to surprise you. Tokyo is world-famous for the quirky and the bizarre. Whether that’s a restaurant where the hosts dress up as robots; or cafes in which you can befriend hedgehogs! Beyond that, Tokyo has all the historical and cultural sights you might expect; from grand imperial palaces to shrines and museums. When it comes to art and design, try the National Museum of Modern Art for something contemporary; otherwise, the exhibitions in the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum date back to the Meiji era.

About 100km outside of Tokyo lies the iconic landmark of Mount Fuji. Scale the mountain to discover some extraordinary views of the surrounding area; on a clear day, you’ll even get a magnificent sight of Tokyo. If you’re feeling brave, attempt to climb to the very peak; otherwise, base yourself at a station further below and take in the scenery.
To the Japanese, attention to detail is everything. Learn all about the intricate process of traditional Japanese tea-making, all while donning a traditional kimono!
Visit a delightful interactive museum that showcases modern Japanese digital art technology at its finest!

It’s a good time to pencil in your career coaching session and review your achievements with a qualified coach; then set out your next steps after leaving Japan.
It’s time for your final trip, so take a deep dive into the heart of Tokyo as you visit Shinjuku. Experience a range of minibars, quirky restaurants, and karaoke rooms; it’s a great way to cap off your immersion in the city.
As your program draws to a close, head out to your farewell dinner for your final community meet-up. It’ll be an emotional night; reminisce with your friends, swap contact details, and say goodbye. Before you leave, you’ll want to make one last dash around the city, checking off as much as you can. Whether that’s dressing up as your favorite video game character and going go-karting around the city. Or heading up the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for a breath-taking view of the cityscape around you. You won’t regret making the most of Tokyo.
