It’s already time for your first trip. Journey out of Barcelona to discover Girona; home to authentic Spanish culture, including food, history, and awe-inspiring architecture.

Weeks 3 & 4

It’s week three, and you’re beginning to feel more and more confident in your abilities. You’re adept at generating regular financial reports for your team; and you’re at ease as you assist your colleagues with their workloads, including communicating with clients and investors. So take some time out with your manager to chat about your progress.

It’s been a busy few weeks, and you’re looking to relax. How about a community dinner? Head out after work and meet up with your friends. Try something international as you catch up and swap stories. Then take a moonlit walk home along the beach.

You’ll have met plenty of business professionals by now; and you might even have started building up your own list of contacts already. We’ll send you an invite to a top networking event, so get out there and meet and greet with business leaders. The right conversation could pay dividends.

For your second tour, it’s time to learn how to cook authentic Spanish paella. Work with a master chef as you discover all the tips and tricks for a delicious meal; once you’ve learned this skill, you’ll never forget it!

Weeks 5 & 6

As your internship nears its end, you’re feeling reflective. Not only have you gained world-class work experience; you’ve also made friends for life while experiencing a complete cultural immersion. Imagine what you could have done with more time! So if you haven’t already, pencil in your 1-to-1 career session to look back at your achievements. Then start thinking about the next steps you need to take to land your dream job!

For your final trip, you’ll soak up the atmosphere of Barcelona as you take in all the architecture and tapas you can find. You’ll be pretty familiar with the city by now, so look out for some hidden hotspots.

Before you’re due to leave the city, it’s time for one final event: your goodbye dinner. Meet up with your friends, reminisce over your favorite memories of the city, and then say goodbye. And in your final days, make one last dash around the city to make the most of it. “What I loved about Beyond Academy and why I choose them is because they are more flexible and more individually tailored to what each person is looking for, rather than just a generalised experience. My group and the entire Beyond community has been really welcoming. I am so lucky to be able to have this experience with people that are similar, as in we are all looking to grow personally, grow professionally and also just enjoy every moment. Everyone here has left behind the familiar and has come to the unfamiliar which can be scary, but when you have a community as good as this, it’s not scary at all.”

Hannah from the United States
PR & Journalism Intern, London Immersive Program

“I am involved in Project Management, which is close to what I want to do in the future. One of my favorite parts of my internship is that I’m taken seriously. In the sense that after building up some trust and showing the company what I have to offer, What was great was that I was able to work on a project from start to finish and really get to know the while process, that really gives me a feeling of accomplishment.”

Karin from Austria
Project Management Intern, Tokyo Immersive Program

“My experience so far here has been amazing, it’s just a shock how much I have been enjoying it. The interns are amazing here so we have been hanging out and getting to know each other and exploring Seoul. It’s really just been a full experience that I have been embracing every single day. I work in a team who creates content relating to K-pop. My favourite part of interning is getting to know my coworkers, being around a group of people that are just so kind and inviting, working alongside them every day has been the best experience. I had been hearing about Beyond Academy for quite some time and I read some really great reviews. I wanted to get the work and life balance, which Beyond offered. My favourite thing about Beyond are the connections I have made here and also the events that have been planned, it gets all of us out to embrace Korean culture.”

Jordan from the United States
