Our community lunch or dinner is always a fun way to experience South Korean cuisine and culture. Use it to keep in touch with your fellow interns!

You’ll become familiar with Seoul and your program; and you’ll get to grips with what awaits you over the next few months. It’s a welcome opportunity to prepare for this transformative adventure. Andong Hahoe village showcases the amazing rich history of Korea. You’ll be immersed in traditional houses, shrines, museums and mask dance. With so much culture on offer, make sure you leave time for food. If weather conditions are unfavorable, fret not, we’ll take you on a temple stay experience for you to fully immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture!
The rich traditions around the way Korean food is prepared, cooked, and eaten means you’ll have plenty to experience. You’ll be enveloped in the stories of this fascinating culture while cooking with our master chef.
The Hanbok is a traditional piece of clothing that beautifully reflects the essence of Korean heritage! Let our local community experts assist you in finding the ideal Hanbok, and even help you achieve an intricate hair-do in full Korean tradition!
Throughout the duration of your program, your Seoul Community Coordinators will be by your side, providing both friendly support and a lot of enjoyable moments.
We’re sure you’re keen to find out what it’s like to intern in Seoul – so we’ve put together a snapshot of a typical 6-week business internship experience.
As soon as you touch down at Incheon International Airport, you’ll be itching to get off the plane and start your internship. So meet us in arrivals and allow us to take you straight to your new home.
Relax and get settled into your accommodation; or, use this time to get out there and explore your new city. Day two is time for your orientation. We’ll give you a detailed rundown of Seoul and what to expect from your business internship. Then, introduce yourself to your fellow interns. Many of our interns find that they make lifelong friendships on our programs – this is where it starts!
Next, meet with your manager and the rest of the team. You’ll be ready to get to grips with your internship, so make a good first impression and get stuck in! And when your first day is over, join us at a Community Team dinner. Unwind with some Korean cuisine and fun chat.
Your business internship will present you with all sorts of challenges. So you’ll want to build up your confidence and skill-set with our carefully designed skills workshop. Get a head start on the skills you’ll need to excel in your internship. You’ll be able to apply these skills to future endeavours too!
Lastly, begin looking forward to the trip to Andong. From its 600-year-old houses, to the retelling of the histories of the Ryu family from the Joseon Dynasty who lived in the village, you’ll have a seriously fascinating time.
It’s your third week, and you’ve already got to grips with the challenges your internship has thrown at you. You’re used to attending meetings with clients, and you’re a keen market watcher, keeping track of any volatility and reporting back to your manager. So now’s a good time to head out and discuss your progress.
South Koreans place a great deal of value on respect and professionalism, so you’ll be well placed to pick up as many contacts as possible. And we’ll be right alongside working hard to find the best professional networking opportunities for you. Build up your international contact list!
Now it’s time to join us on a guided tour of Seoul’s amazing food culture. Sample everything from Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) to beef Bulgogi and Samgyeopsal pork strips; and learn about the fascinating history of South Korea as you go.
You’ll be fully at home in your Internship now, so it’s a great time to look ahead.
If you’ve not done it already, make sure you fit in your 1-to-1 career coaching session. It’s a chance not many professionals get and lets you explore your dreams and ambitions. You can chat over the things you’re finding a little tougher, and set goals and plans for your future career success.

We work with a few carefully selected partners in Seoul. Mainly co-living houses, student accommodation and shared houses, we only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and some young professionals. So it’s a great way to integrate with local community for those traveling from overseas.
You will get a private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes.
Due to demand for short term accommodation and ever changing availability, we usually confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your start date.
