Join us as you explore the breath-taking Mount Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. You’ll take in extraordinary views of Tokyo as you marvel at the natural beauty. Take a walking or climbing route and uncover this awe-inspiring spot; from the ancient Buddhist Taisekiji Head Temple to the peaceful Kawaguchi Lake.
To the Japanese, attention to detail is everything. Learn all about the intricate process of traditional Japanese tea-making, all while donning a traditional kimono!

The wait is finally over: you’ve landed, and you’re ready to begin your Tokyo adventure.
Let us whisk you straight to your new accommodation. You’ll be living here for the next six weeks, so settle in and get ready for an amazing time. Or maybe settling in can wait – you might be raring to get out and start exploring!
On day two, get ready for your comprehensive orientation. We’ll take you through everything your program has to offer. Then, it’s time to meet your community. Introduce yourself to your fellow interns and get chatting!
You’ll also want to meet your manager and the rest of your team. You’ll be spending a lot of time here over the coming weeks, so get familiar with your office. After your first day, kick back at one of our Community Team dinners. Feast on some classic Japanese sushi and relax. Then, navigate Tokyo’s high-tech public transport system to get home. You’ll be awed by its simplicity and efficiency.
You’ll always be learning over the course of your internship, so it might be a good time to take advantage of our workshop. This immersive workshop will allow you to hone your skills and develop some new ones too. Acquire all the tools you’ll need to flourish in the world of business; you’ll be able to apply these not only to your internship, but to your future career.
It’s already time for your trip to the breath-taking Mount Fuji. This will be a highlight of your time in Japan; the views over Tokyo are unmatched anywhere in the world. And make sure you take in some of Japan’s cultural heritage by visiting an ancient Shinto shrine.
By now, you’ve settled into your busy life as a business intern. You’ve become skilled at conducting market research on the latest trends; and you’re comfortable delivering reports at meetings with client management. So it’s a good time to grab a coffee or bite to eat with your manager and review your progress so far.

Next, it’s time for your second event. You’ll learn the secrets of traditional Japanese tea-making, while wearing the traditional kimono!
Your time in Tokyo is coming to its end. By now you’ve become adept at interviewing clients to determine their business needs; and you’re a master of juggling multiple financial models as you analyze stock market trends.
And having learnt so much in your time here, you’ve probably become aware of new opportunities or aspirations. If you haven’t already had it, now is a great time to look back over your time in Tokyo – and look forward to the future – with a tailored 1-to-1 career coaching session.
You’ve visited nearby sites of natural beauty, and sampled all the amazing food Tokyo has to offer. It’s time for the last immersive experience in the culture of Japan: Shinjuku Night. You’ll explore this iconic part of Tokyo glittering with neon lights, belting out as much karaoke as you can muster while you hop from bar to bar.
Before you’re ready for it to end, your time in Tokyo is drawing to a close. So it’s time to meet with your fellow interns one last time at your goodbye dinner. Having been immersed in Japanese culture, you might want to present your friends with a KitKat wrapper – a good luck gift to each other! Before you go, make sure you’ve ticked off everything you wanted to do in Japan. Whether that’s experiencing the amazing bullet train or doing some last-minute shopping in the upmarket Harajuku.
And as your plane departs Tokyo, make sure you get one last glimpse at that amazing expanse.

We carefully select our housing partners in Tokyo, ensuring they meet our rigorous safety, quality and cleanliness standards. We offer mainly student accommodation or shared apartments for housing. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and other young professionals; it’s a great way to make friends quickly, especially if you’re travelling in from overseas.
You’ll have your own private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding, Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations will vary but you’ll always be placed close to public transport. Depending on the location of your firm, we try to ensure your commute time is no more than 30-60 minutes.
We’ll confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your business internship begins. This is due to the demand for short term accommodation and ever-changing availability.
