We’ll craft your internship program to equip you with the tools you need to succeed.
With start dates every month, and lasting anywhere between one and six months, build an internship program that works for you.
Consultancy is a varied industry, and no two days will ever be the same. Whether you’re advising an SME as they consider expansion; or assisting a charity developing their social media outreach. The sector is competitive, but practical work experience will demonstrate to employers both your achievements and your potential.
The Japanese are highly professional and life in Tokyo will be a collaborative experience. You’ll love working closely with supportive and respectful colleagues as you develop your skills and abilities. And gaining international business experience will allow you to build your own unique outlook. You might end your internship with a job offer from an international consultancy firm; or you may even begin planning your own solo consultancy career. The options are endless.
Our skills workshop is a surefire method of boosting your professional development and employability.
With the professional guidance of qualified coaches and inspirational speakers, you’ll undertake exercises in key skills and competencies. From communication to team skills and personal branding.
You’ll leave ready to apply your newfound skills and knowledge to your internship – and beyond.
While you work, you’ll have the opportunity to schedule a 1-to-1 career session with a qualified coach. This is your opportunity to look back critically on your career so far; consider your strengths and weaknesses, as well as your achievements and failures.
Of course, your diary will be full of dinners, events and trips; so you can schedule your session at the right time for you.
Some prefer a meeting in the opening days or week of their internship. Here you’ll be able to take stock and thoroughly prepare for the weeks ahead. Others prefer a balanced session, meeting a few weeks in; you’ll be able to look both at your achievements so far and plan ahead for your remaining time in Tokyo.
Alternatively, a session in the final days of your internship is a great way to conclude your program. You’ll be able to assess your growth and achievements; as well as set out a roadmap to your future career.
And at any time in your program, we’ll offer personalized career advice and interview tips. We can help polish your CV and LinkedIn profile, or your professional portfolio.
Our online tools and resources are a great way of boosting your skills and employability.
Here are just some examples of the support we provide:
● A personal development plan toolkit
● Online interview skills seminars
● Sessions on communication or building your brand
● And many more useful resources you can access at any time
Consulting can be a tricky business. You’ll be keeping a lot of plates spinning as you juggle multiple clients and business needs. But keep careful track of things and you’ll go far. Here’s a few examples of the tasks you might be undertaking:
– Undergo training lectures/seminars in relevant areas
– Assist senior staff with caseloads
– Interview clients to determine business needs and suitability
– Identify innovative solutions to both your own and colleagues’ cases
– Research and compile briefing documents

It’ll be a night full of tears and laughter; swap contact details and arrange your first group meeting, then say goodbye. In your last few days, make a final dash around the city to take in as much of Tokyo as possible.
