We’ll build your internship program to kickstart your engineering career in the best possible way.
With start dates every month, and lasting between one and six months, you can choose the internship program that works for you.
Working in London, you’ll gain top engineering experience. London is a truly global hub; an international crossroads, you’ll make links with plenty of people and firms here. Which will open up your horizons for future employment.
British work culture is totally unique. While they’re professional and courteous in business affairs, Brits love to unwind after a busy day with after-work drinks or dinner. This is the perfect time to break the ice; indulge in some lighthearted banter and ironic humor and you’ll soon win your new colleagues over. Build strong relationships and you’ll prosper.
And when you live in London, you’ll never be short of things to see and do. There are few places with more world-famous museums than London. Try the British Museum for an experience that takes you all over the globe. Or take an open-top bus tour around the city to discover the myriad of iconic landmarks, from the Houses of Parliament to Buckingham Palace.
Take part in our carefully structured workshop to get a head start in your internship.
Working with professional coaches and speakers, you’ll undertake exercises in key skills.
A typical workshop will include lessons in communication, problem solving, and leadership. You’ll leave this session ready to face every challenge your internship could throw at you.
In your career coaching session, you’ll reflect on your progress so far; as well as the next steps you’d like to take. A professional coach will offer you the guidance you need to achieve your aspirations and improve professionally.
Your schedule will be packed full of meetings, networking events, dinners and trips; so pencil this session in at the right time for you.
Some interns prefer an early appointment in order to prepare themselves for the weeks ahead. This is a great way to get yourself in the mindset for success. Conversely, an appointment around the middle of your time in London can strike a good balance; half on your progress so far and half on the plan you’d like to put in place to improve.
Lastly, a reflective session towards the end of your internship is a great way to finish off your program. You’ll be able to consider your achievements while you look forward to the future.
And at any time during your course, you’ll also have access to tailored career advice and interview tips. From advice on getting your CV and LinkedIn page up to scratch; to helping you assemble a professional portfolio, we’re here to help.
Use our online employability and skills resources to boost your development.
A few examples of the support we provide includes:

As your internship nears its end, you’re looking back on what you’ve done. Professional industry experience, a unique cultural education, life-long friends and a network of contacts; not bad for six weeks.
If you haven’t already, now’s a good time to pencil in your one-to-one career appointment. Discuss your internship with a professional coach, including your successes and failures. Then start planning your next career steps.
Your final trip? A food tour. Explore London’s diverse and sumptuous world of food as you take a winding tour through the city’s back streets, indoor markets and alleys. Follow a guide as you taste all the culinary riches the city has to offer.
Before you leave, you’ve got one last event to attend; so put on your best clothes and head to your goodbye dinner. You’ve made life-long friends while living in London; so congratulate each other and say farewell. In your final days, you’ll want to make the most out of the city. Take an open-top bus tour of London’s iconic sites. Or why not do something less touristy and check out the fake houses of Leinster Gardens? You won’t regret it.

“The City seems so much more in earnest: its business, its rush, its roar are such serious things, sights and sounds. The City is getting its living – the West-End but enjoying its pleasure.”
