When you arrive, let us take you through a comprehensive Seoul orientation. You’ll learn everything you need to know about your Entrepreneurship & Startups internship, as well as the city itself.

Andong Hahoe village showcases the amazing rich history of Korea. You’ll be immersed in traditional houses, shrines, museums and mask dance. With so much culture on offer, make sure you leave time for food. If weather conditions are unfavorable, fret not, we’ll take you on a temple stay experience for you to fully immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture!
The rich traditions around the way Korean food is prepared, cooked, and eaten means you’ll have plenty to experience. You’ll be enveloped in the stories of this fascinating culture while cooking with our master chef.
The Hanbok is a traditional piece of clothing that beautifully reflects the essence of Korean heritage! Let our local community experts assist you in finding the ideal Hanbok, and even help you achieve an intricate hair-do in full Korean tradition!
Throughout the duration of your program, your Seoul Community Coordinators will be by your side, providing both friendly support and a lot of enjoyable moments.
You’ll be keen to discover just what it’s like to intern in Seoul, so we’ve put together a snapshot of a typical 6-week Entrepreneurship internship program.
As you touch down in Seoul, you’ll be equal parts excited and tired. Fortunately for you, we’ll meet you at Incheon airport and take you straight to your new home.
How you spend your first day is up to you. Either kick back and relax or explore the expansive cityscape of Seoul. On day two is your orientation; here you’ll familiarize yourself with Seoul as well as what awaits you on your internship. After, it’s time to meet and get to know your Beyond Community. Chat over some delicious South Korean food!
You’ll be ready to dive straight into your internship on your first day, so introduce yourself to your manager and colleagues. When your busy first day is over, unwind at a Community Team dinner at a Korean BBQ restaurant; then navigate Seoul’s highly advanced public transport system to get home.
As you get to grips with your entrepreneurial internship, you’ll face challenges and hurdles to overcome. So why not take a skills workshop to equip yourself with the right tools to flourish? You’ll sharpen your existing skills and learn some new ones; apply your knowledge to your internship in your first few weeks and impress!
Lastly, begin looking forward to the trip to Andong. From its 600-year-old houses, to the retelling of the histories of the Ryu family from the Joseon Dynasty who lived in the village, you’ll have a seriously fascinating time.
By week three, you’ve got a handle on your busy and varied internship; from handling multiple clients to analyzing business data. At this point you’ll head out with your line manager to discuss your progress.
You’ll also be hard at work navigating South Korean business and startup culture in order to begin building up your international contact list. Remember to always remain respectful and polite and you’ll go far. To help, we’ll be busy searching for all the best industry networking opportunities. Make a good impression at these events and open up new doors and opportunities!
Next, allow us to take you on a tour of Seoul’s fantastic food culture. Make sure you try everything, from KFC and spicy tteokbokki to soondae sausage and comforting bibimbap. And of course, learn more about South Korea cuisine and culture as you go.
You’ll be fully at home in your Internship now, so it’s a great time to look ahead.
If you’ve not done it already, make sure you fit in your 1-to-1 career coaching session. It’s a chance not many professionals get and lets you explore your dreams and ambitions. You can chat over the things you’re finding a little tougher, and set goals and plans for your future career success.

We work with a few carefully selected partners in Seoul. Mainly co-living houses, student accommodation and shared houses, we only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and some young professionals. So it’s a great way to integrate with local community for those traveling from overseas.
You will get a private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes.
Due to demand for short term accommodation and ever changing availability, we usually confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your start date.
