You’ll undertake a comprehensive orientation upon your arrival. It covers everything from your program to the city of London itself.

Every few weeks you’ll receive an invitation to one of our community lunches or dinners. Stay in touch with your new friends, all over some sumptuous food.

As your time in London draws to a close, you’ll attend your goodbye dinner. Say farewell to your friends, as well as the city itself.

Lasting between one and six months – with start dates every month – make your program work for you.

Brits are exceedingly polite and love nothing more than a good queue. But you’ll also often find a quick, dry wit amongst your colleagues. Prepare for plenty of good-natured banter, as well as after-work drinks. There’s always room to relax when living and working here.
Navigate London’s world-famous public transport system to get around. From iconic red buses to black cabs, to the London Underground. Get to grips with them all to whizz around the city with ease. You’ll get the hang of it in no time!

A typical session will include lessons on communication, leadership, and problem solving. You’ll gain practical experience to apply to your internship.

Journey to Cambridge, a picturesque English university city. Float down the River Cam, or try your hand at an iconic punt. Take in the sun in one of Cambridge’s many parks and green spaces; marvel at the amazing Gothic architecture, then finish off the day with a classic pub dinner!
London’s West End is famous the world over for its incredible theatrical output. So throw on your best clothes and hit the town! Belt out the words to your favorite musical; or how about trying a brand new indie production? Then finish off your unforgettable evening in an amazing restaurant or bar and soak up the atmosphere.
London is home to countless nationalities, and with that comes an incredibly diverse food scene. Foodies will love this winding tour through London’s cobbled streets. Plus you’ll learn a bit of local history as you go from market to market. Try some Japanese sashimi, Turkish kofte, or authentic Italian pizza!

As you touch down in London, take a deep breath and then take that first step into a new country. Savor it: this’ll be your home for the next few weeks. Let us meet you at the airport and whisk you to your new accommodation stress-free.
On your very first day, the time is yours. Some interns prefer to kick back and relax; others head straight out and explore. Whatever you choose to do, join us on day two for your comprehensive orientation. We’ll introduce you to London, as well as what awaits you on your program. After, introduce yourself to your brand-new Beyond Community.
It’s time to get to know your colleagues; meet your manager and familiarize yourself with your office. You’ll be spending a lot of time here! Get stuck in, then unwind after work at a community dinner. You might dine on Thai red curry before hailing down a black cab to get home.
Your internship will be varied and challenging; if you’d like to make the most out of it, you’ll certainly want to participate in our skills workshop. Under the guidance of speakers and coaches, hone your skills and impress your colleagues!
Before you know it, it’s time for the first of your exciting day trips: Cambridge! Immerse yourself in this magical English university town. Experience first-hand the picturesque River Cam, then nestle by the fire as you dine in a cosy pub.
By now you’re getting to grips with the varied rhythms of your busy internship. You’re learning how to find a good story or angle, and your writing and editing skills are growing. So take some time out with your manager to discuss your progress.
London is absolutely packed with opportunities to network, so you’ll likely have already started to grow your list of industry contacts. But we’ll be right alongside you, so look out for your invitation to a professional industry event. Head out there and introduce yourself to your sector’s top leaders; you never know where it might lead.
For your second cultural trip, you’ll be heading down to the West End for an unforgettable night of theater and food. Take in your show, then finish the night with a trip to a restaurant or bar to soak up the quintessential London nightlife scene.
Before you know it, your London adventure is nearing its end. It’s been a worthwhile experience; you’ve developed professionally and personally, all while growing an extensive list of contacts. And you’ve got some amazing practical experience to put on your resume too.
If you haven’t already, now is a good time to book your 1-to-1 tailored coaching session. Consider what you’ve learned over your internship, and how you’ve grown. As well as the next steps you need to take to start your career.

To conclude your time in London, you’ll attend your farewell dinner. Congratulate and reminisce with your friends, reflect on the amazing time you’ve had; then say goodbye.

We work with a range of carefully-selected accommodation partners throughout London that includes flat shares, student accommodation and co-living sites. We only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards, and all of our partners are located in commutable areas with links to the amazing transport system that London has to offer. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes. Living arrangements involve sharing space with other Beyond Interns, young professionals, and students, fostering a fantastic opportunity to integrate into the local community.
You will get a private bedroom, and most accommodation options include a private bathroom and kitchenette. Some locations include shared living spaces, lounge areas, workspaces, cafe, gym etc. All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport.
As the demand for short-term accommodation is dynamic and availability can vary, we finalize the details of your specific accommodation and location approximately 3-4 weeks before your start date.
