With start dates every month, and lasting anywhere between one and six months, you can choose the right internship for you.
Seoul is unique, full of cutting-edge technology, fashion, and pop culture while remaining reverent of its history and traditions. A vibrant and dynamic cultural hotspot, the city is filled to the brim with amazing food, trendy cafes, boutique fashion outlets, music, and dancing. South Koreans move to their own beat, and you’ll soon find yourself right alongside them. Make sure to take a break in pristine green spaces and parks – then dive back in!
When it comes to work, Seoul is an interconnected hub. The city has deep ties to other Asian cities, and that makes business a distinctly international affair. South Koreans are professional and collaborative at all times, and nowhere does this apply more than law. With the entire economy set to be revolutionized through a transformation to low-carbon by 2025, there’s never been a better time to immerse yourself in South Korea’s legislative and public policy.
Prepare yourself for your professional experience with our skills workshop. Work with coaches and speakers as you improve your core competencies, including communication and team skills.

In this exclusive session, you’ll have the chance to think critically about your career so far; as well as your future goals. Your professional coach will offer guidance as you consider your successes and failures.
You’ll have a busy diary full of trips, networking and dinners. So schedule this appointment at the right time for you.
Some opt for an early session. This is a good way of preparing yourself for the coming weeks. Others prefer an appointment half-way through their time in Seoul; this is the best option for a balanced meeting, half on your progress so far and half on any changes you’d like to make.
Lastly, an appointment towards the end of your internship will be a chance to look back on your internship. Consider what you’ve achieved; then plan out your next steps for career success.
You’ll also have access to personalized career and interview advice throughout your program. We’ll help you tailor your resume or CV and LinkedIn profile to perfection.

Andong Hahoe village showcases the amazing rich history of Korea. You’ll be immersed in traditional houses, shrines, museums and mask dance. With so much culture on offer, make sure you leave time for food. If weather conditions are unfavorable, fret not, we’ll take you on a temple stay experience for you to fully immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture!
The rich traditions around the way Korean food is prepared, cooked, and eaten means you’ll have plenty to experience. You’ll be enveloped in the stories of this fascinating culture while cooking with our master chef
The Hanbok is a traditional piece of clothing that beautifully reflects the essence of Korean heritage! Let our local community experts assist you in finding the ideal Hanbok, and even help you achieve an intricate hair-do in full Korean tradition!
Throughout the duration of your program, your Seoul Community Coordinators will be by your side, providing both friendly support and a lot of enjoyable moments.
Here’s a snapshot of a typical law internship in Seoul, based on a 6-week program.
The wait is over as you finally land at Incheon International Airport. With its own golf course and ice-skating rink, it’s constantly voted as one of the world’s best airports!
Take some time to breath it all in and get settled into your accommodation. Don’t take too much of a pause because you’ll be joining us for an orientation and welcome lunch the next day. You’ll meet the other interns and get busy making friends from every corner of the world.
The first day of your internship will be full of exciting new experiences. You’ll get to know your new team and have a chance to check out the office you’ll be working in.
Get your first taste of banchan at a community dinner and talk over your new experiences together.
As the weeks progress, you’ll be more and more comfortable in your role. From taking detailed notes in client meetings to keeping on top of a diverse range of briefs. All in all, your skills and knowledge base are growing quickly. Now is a good time to head out with your manager to a trendy Korean café and discuss your progress so far.
Law is an international concern, and top law firms bring together minds from all over the globe. So living in Seoul you’ve likely met some contacts already. To aid you as you build your own network, we’ll send out an invite to a professional industry event. Meet prominent leaders in your sector; swap a contact detail or two, make a good impression and it might pay off!
It’s already time for your second trip. This time it’s a food tour. Experience a range of culinary delights, from homemade South Korean dishes to delicious international food. Learn why side dishes are so important to South Korean cuisine and maybe pick up a recipe or two!
You’ll be fully at home in your Internship now, so it’s a great time to look ahead.
If you’ve not done it already, make sure you fit in your 1-to-1 career coaching session. It’s a chance not many professionals get and lets you explore your dreams and ambitions. You can chat over the things you’re finding a little tougher, and set goals and plans for your future career success.
Lastly, begin looking forward to the trip to Andong. From its 600-year-old houses, to the retelling of the histories of the Ryu family from the Joseon Dynasty who lived in the village, you’ll have a seriously fascinating time.
All good things must come to an end and we’ll make sure you get a great send off at our farewell dinner. Say goodbye to the amazing people you’ve met and get ready to head home.

We work with a few carefully selected partners in Seoul. Mainly co-living houses, student accommodation and shared houses, we only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and some young professionals. So it’s a great way to integrate with local community for those traveling from overseas.
You will get a private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes.
Due to demand for short term accommodation and ever changing availability, we usually confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your start date.
