Spend the entire day of your arrival replenishing your strength for the weeks or months ahead. On day two, our comprehensive orientation will give you a detailed overview of Seoul and what to expect from your program.
After the orientation, our welcome lunch or dinner will be the perfect opportunity for you to get to know your fellow interns better. Many of our previous interns have made friends for life during their internship programs!

The bustling metropolitan vista of Seoul exhibits the country’s rich and exciting history. From temples dating back to the 7th Century AD to visually stunning skyscrapers. Seoul contains everything you’d expect from a cultural, modern city.
In a matter of days you’ll start to feel at home. Our community team and your fellow interns will soon feel like family, there if you need them. Make then most of our bi-weekly community dinners and bond over delicious South Korean cuisine.

Andong Hahoe village showcases the amazing rich history of Korea. You’ll be immersed in traditional houses, shrines, museums and mask dance. With so much culture on offer, make sure you leave time for food. If weather conditions are unfavorable, fret not, we’ll take you on a temple stay experience for you to fully immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture!
The rich traditions around the way Korean food is prepared, cooked, and eaten means you’ll have plenty to experience. You’ll be enveloped in the stories of this fascinating culture while cooking with our master chef.
The Hanbok is a traditional piece of clothing that beautifully reflects the essence of Korean heritage! Let our local community experts assist you in finding the ideal Hanbok, and even help you achieve an intricate hair-do in full Korean tradition!
Throughout the duration of your program, your Seoul Community Coordinators will be by your side, providing both friendly support and a lot of enjoyable moments.
Here’s a quick run-down of what it’s like to intern in Seoul, based on a typical 6-week marketing internship program.
You’ll be wonderstruck by the endless Seoul cityscape as you glide in, landing at Incheon Airport. As soon as you’re wheels-down we’ll be ready to pick you up and take you to your new accomodation.
Then, settle in! Recover from your jet lag or get out there and discover your new city, then get ready for your orientation. We’ll detail everything that awaits you in Seoul; after, get to know your fellow interns and hear about their experiences. Why not share your own too!
It’s high time you begin your marketing experience. Get to know your manager and the rest of the marketing team, and settle into your office.
When your day is done, kick back at one of our community dinners; it might be a bowl of kimchi, or Bibimbap rice. Navigate South Korea’s advanced Korean eXpress or stroll by the banks of the Han river as you head home.

By now, you’ll have been undertaking diverse tasks like strategizing social media campaigns with the marketing team; or planning a blog, coordinating with the team to keep things SEO compliant. Talk about what you’ve enjoyed and what you’d like to work on further.
As one of the most densely populated cities on earth, networking opportunities seethe through Seoul’s cityscape. It’s now time to start expanding your contact list; as you muse over solutions in the marketing sector, we’ll be scouting for the best professional networking opportunities available.
Now it’s time to roll your sleeves up and dig into your second planned event: cooking tour. Be taken in by stories of legendary culinary exchange while sampling the unique cookery of South Korea!
You’ll be fully at home in your Internship now, so it’s a great time to look ahead.

We work with a few carefully selected partners in Seoul. Mainly co-living houses, student accommodation and shared houses, we only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and some young professionals. So it’s a great way to integrate with local community for those traveling from overseas.
You will get a private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes.
Due to demand for short term accommodation and ever changing availability, we usually confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your start date.
