With the assistance of qualified coaches and speakers, you’ll run through a range of exercises designed to prepare you for professional life. This will typically include effective leadership, team skills, and personal branding.
You’ll leave this session feeling reinvigorated for the challenges ahead of you.
Look back on your career so far with this 1-to-1 tailored session. Work closely with a qualified career coach to consider your strengths and weaknesses, alongside your goals and future plans.
You might prefer to take your meeting in the opening days of your internship. This is a good way of preparing for your challenging workload; as well as setting out any goals you’d like to meet while here. Otherwise, wait until half-way through your time in Barcelona for a session of two halves; first consider your progress so far, then set out any improvements you can make going forward.
And to look back on your completed internship, take your appointment towards the end of your program. Assess what you’ve gained; then use this session as a springboard to your next job.

Property can be a difficult market. There’s lots to learn and plenty of detail to keep track of. So keep your thoughts organized, work hard, and you’ll go far. Here’s a few examples of the kinds of tasks you might undertake in Barcelona:
– Assist in the appraisal management process for clients (including major banks, pension funds, and insurance companies)
– Identify and research inconsistencies/discrepancies in appraisal reports

A melting pot of history and culture, from the Romans to the Moors, Franks and Barcelonans, take a journey out to Girona. Discover ‘Barcelona in miniature’ as you explore museums and art galleries devoted to thousands of years of history and creativity. Then take in key monuments around the city: get some insight into Girona’s proud independent past in the Plaça de la Independència; then check out the grand city walls before you leave.
Famous all over the world, there’s nothing quite like paella. Try your hand at this delicious Spanish dish as you work closely with a master chef. Pick out some delicious ingredients from a nearby market, including fresh chorizo and prawns, then get to work! You’ll never forget the secrets to this quintessentially Mediterranean meal.
You’ll find a hodgepodge of architectural styles and influences in Barcelona; take this tour to discover them all. From ancient Roman ruins to the seven great works of Antoni Gaudí (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Barcelona has it all. As you make your way through the heart of the city, try as much Spanish food and drink as you possibly can; all in Barcelona’s fantastic selection of tapas bars.

You’ve been looking forward to this for months, and it’s finally here: welcome to Barcelona! A sun-drenched city of countless delights awaits you, so kick things off by meeting us at the airport. We’ll drop you off at your accommodation and allow you to begin settling in. You might want to kick back and relax, or else head out into the city and start exploring.
You’ll join us on day two for your orientation. This is your chance to get up to speed with what awaits you in the city; you’ll also be able to ask any questions you might have. That evening, it’s time for the first of many community dinners as you meet your Beyond Community for the first time. Get to know your new friends, all over a delicious Spanish dish.
Get stuck into your workload on your first day. You’re here to learn, so treat this as the chance to immerse yourself in your industry. Draw on the knowledge and insight of your co-workers to ensure your success.
You’ll soon find yourself challenged by your work, particularly if you’ve never worked in real estate before. So why not attend our immersive skills workshop to work on your core competencies? Work closely with professional coaches to boost your skills; leave this session feeling newly invigorated for the work to come!
Soon enough, it’s time for your first trip. Head out to the popular tourist spot of Girona as you explore a city of history and culture. Take in ‘Barcelona in miniature’ as you discover ancient sites and impressive landmarks!
By week three, you feel like finally getting truly comfortable in your role. You’ve been undertaking site visits alongside your colleagues, assessing properties and compiling detailed reports. And you’ve been closely coordinating with architects and interior designers across multiple projects. Now’s a good time to review your progress with your manager.
You’ve been working hard these past few weeks, and you’re looking to unwind. Meet up with your friends for a community dinner; check in with them over one of Barcelona’s many international cuisines, then finish your evening with a walk along the beach.
With English widely spoken in Barcelona, you’ll have already got to know a few of your fellow real estate professionals. Develop your network by attending a top industry session; impress property leaders and good things may come your way!

Your internship is drawing to a close, and you’ve decided to take your 1-to-1 career session to cap things off. With professional insight, consider what you’ve achieved and what you could have done better; then turn your thoughts to the future, reflecting on your next steps to your dream job.
You’ve got one final trip lined up: an immersive architecture and tapas tour of Barcelona. You’ve become intimately familiar with the city, so use this time to look out for new hotspots or secrets; then try a range of delicious food and drink through the city’s fantastic selection of tapas bars.
You can’t believe it’s finally time, but all good things must come to an end, and so you find yourself preparing for your farewell meal. Meet up with your friends for the last time; reminisce over shared experiences, then arrange the details of your first group reunion. Before you’re due to fly out, make one last dash around the city to make the most of it. Head into La Sagrada Familia to discover an unfinished masterpiece; or explore the unique Museu Picasso, a museum housed within five medieval stone mansions.

Our housing partners in Barcelona are carefully chosen to meet our stringent safety, quality and cleanliness standards. We offer mainly student accommodation or shared apartments. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and other young professionals. It’s a great way to build your own community, especially if you’re traveling from abroad.
You’ll have your own private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, bathroom, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding, Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations will vary but you’ll always be placed somewhere with access to public transport. Depending on where your firm is, we try to ensure your commute time is no more than 30-60 minutes.
We’ll confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your Property & Real Estate internship begins. This is due to the demand for short-term accommodation and ever-changing availability.
