Andong Hahoe village showcases the amazing rich history of Korea. You’ll be immersed in traditional houses, shrines, museums and mask dance. With so much culture on offer, make sure you leave time for food. If weather conditions are unfavorable, fret not, we’ll take you on a temple stay experience for you to fully immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture!
The rich traditions around the way Korean food is prepared, cooked, and eaten means you’ll have plenty to experience. You’ll be enveloped in the stories of this fascinating culture while cooking with our master chef.
The Hanbok is a traditional piece of clothing that beautifully reflects the essence of Korean heritage! Let our local community experts assist you in finding the ideal Hanbok, and even help you achieve an intricate hair-do in full Korean tradition!

Here’s a snapshot of what life in Seoul is like, based on a typical 6-week Technology & Software Engineering internship.
After months of anticipation, you’ve finally touched down in Seoul. Meet us at Incheon International Airport and we’ll whisk you straight to your new home for the next 6 weeks!
On your first day, unwind after a long flight or head out and explore the urban jungle of Seoul. On day two, join us on your orientation as we take you through everything you need to know about your upcoming program. Afterwards, meet your Beyond Community. Many interns make friends for life on our internship programs, and this is where it starts.
Day one of your internship, show up early to impress your colleagues. Introduce yourself and then dive into work. You might want to cap off your busy first day and join us at one of our community dinners. Make your way home using Seoul’s impressive, high-tech public transport system – it’s designed and maintained by mathematicians and programmers!
As you work you’ll complete brand new tasks and overcome challenges, so why not take an early skills workshop to prepare? Here you’ll build up your core competencies with the aid of qualified coaches and speakers. Leave inspired to tackle your internship anew.
Lastly, begin looking forward to the trip to Andong. From its 600-year-old houses, to the retelling of the histories of the Ryu family from the Joseon Dynasty who lived in the village, you’ll have a seriously fascinating time.
As the weeks pass, you’ll soon feel more comfortable in your role. You’re now writing regular reports on all the latest industry trends and working on various design specs for clients. You’ll immerse yourself in coding and programming, learning more each day. So now is a great time to join your manager at a nearby café and discuss your progress so far.
An interconnected global city, you’ll meet plenty of people as you work in Seoul. We’ll help you to develop your own network of contacts too. Keep an eye out for an invite to a professional technology networking industry event. Meet top tech leaders and exchange your views in a relaxed and informal setting. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the tech and software engineering sector better.
Next, it’s time for your second trip: your food tour. Experience the culinary delights that Seoul has to offer, from authentically South Korean dishes like kimchi stew to bulgogi. Explore South Korea through your belly as you learn about its history via food.
You’ll be fully at home in your Internship now, so it’s a great time to look ahead.
If you’ve not done it already, make sure you fit in your 1-to-1 career coaching session. It’s a chance not many professionals get and lets you explore your dreams and ambitions. You can chat over the things you’re finding a little tougher, and set goals and plans for your future career success.

We work with a few carefully selected partners in Seoul. Mainly co-living houses, student accommodation and shared houses, we only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and some young professionals. So it’s a great way to integrate with local community for those traveling from overseas.
You will get a private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes.
Due to demand for short term accommodation and ever changing availability, we usually confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your start date.
