That’s why you’ll join the Beyond Community – a group of new and existing interns, some of whom might already have finished their own internships. They’ve been in your shoes, and they’ll have the answers to any question you might have. Whether you’re looking for the best café in London, or simply the most tranquil beauty spot, ask away!
Our local London team is always on hand to provide help and support during your internship. Whether you need professional advice, or just tips on living in London, they’ll be there.
When you arrive, settle into your new accommodation, or get out there and explore London. On day two, we’ll take you through a comprehensive orientation. You’ll find out everything that awaits you over the course of your program.
After the orientation, our welcome lunch or dinner will be the perfect opportunity for you to get to know your fellow interns better. Many of our previous interns have made friends for life during their internship programs!
You’ll receive regular invitations to our community lunches and dinners. It’s a great way to keep in touch with everyone while you enjoy a bite to eat.

Home to a world-famous university, Cambridge is a quintessential English city. Full of historic buildings and cobbled streets, you’ll love exploring this unique city. Try your hand at a punt down the River Cam, and make sure you pick up a souvenir before you leave. Finish off the day with one of the countless cuisines Cambridge has to offer; classic British fish and chips is always a good idea!
London’s theatrical output is truly iconic, and tonight is all about taking in a show. You’ll be excited to belt out all the words to your favourite musical; or it might be time for something new – how about a smaller indie production? Finish the evening with dinner in a world-famous restaurant.
London is a truly multicultural city, and it’s only fitting that it’s packed with a diverse array of sumptuous food. Hop from market to market as you get to grips with London’s food culture. Try some Malaysian laksa, Taiwanese dumplings, or Nigerian jollof rice; and learn some local history as you go.
Throughout the program, your London Community Coordinators will be with you every step of the way, providing you with support you need, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
You’ll be eager to discover just what it’s like to intern in London. So we’ve put together a snapshot of a typical 6-week television, theatre, film, & music internship.
After so long waiting, you’ve finally made it to London. As you flew in, you were able to pick out the iconic landmarks – the Shard, the Gherkin, Big Ben. You can’t believe you’re finally here.
You’re ready to settle into your new home – so we’ll meet you at the airport and take you straight there. Whether you want to use this time for some R&R, or you want to explore, it’s up to you!
On your second day, it’s time for our comprehensive orientation. You’ll hear about everything that London has to offer, then you’ll meet your fellow interns. Many of our interns find they make friends for life on our programs – this is where those relationships start!
Get to know your manager and the rest of your team, and familiarize yourself with your workplace. You’ll be spending a lot of time here the next few weeks! After completing your first day, kick back at one of our Community Team dinners. You might relax over some delicious Chinese food before hailing an iconic Black Cab home. Or now might be the time to get to grips with London’s Tube system; it’ll be tricky at first, but getting round will soon be a breeze.
You’ll constantly gain practical experience during your internship. To get the most out of your time here, you might want to take an early workshop. Under qualified coaches and speakers you’ll be improving your skills; impress your colleagues by applying what you’ve learned!
It’s already time for the first of your exciting trips. Head to the ancient university city of Cambridge as you marvel at its quaint buildings and narrow streets. Unwind as you float gently down the River Cam, then finish off your day with ice creams!
By now, you’ve settled in well. You’re familiar with the rhythms of your busy internship; from prop logistics to post-production editing, you really feel like you’re getting to grips with this industry. So now’s a good time to head out to one of London’s trendy cafes to discuss your progress with your manager.
London is teeming with networking opportunities – and we’ll be hard at work finding the best ones for you. Take advantage of invitations to these professional networking events to build up a prestigious array of international contacts.
And then get ready for your second trip. Head down to an iconic London theater to take in an amazing show. It might be a famous musical or a one-act indie production – either way, finish off your unforgettable trip with a visit to a world-famous restaurant.
You’re already reaching the end of your time in London. By now you’ve learned everything there is to learn about your industry; from transferable software skills to high-pressure decisions, you’ll have plenty of hands-on experience to put on your CV or resume.
So now might be a good time for your 1-to-1 coaching session. With a qualified coach you’ll reflect on your progress over the course of your internship; what did you learn, and how can you apply this to achieve your future aspirations?
You’ve also got to grips with everything London has to offer. From iconic sights to hidden gems, you’ve seen it all. Now it’s time to complete your cultural education with one last tour. Follow our guide as you wind through the streets of London, and sample sumptuous food; you’ll also learn a bit of history as you go! Try everything on offer – from Indian chaat to rich Brazilian feijoada.
There’s one last event ahead of you: the farewell dinner. Congratulate your fellow interns on your life-changing experience, and say goodbye! Before you leave, make sure you’ve taken in everything London has to offer. Whether that’s heading up the Shard for a last-minute unparalleled view. Or taking in one last amazing cultural site with a visit to the British Museum, you won’t regret it.

We work with a range of carefully-selected accommodation partners throughout London that includes flat shares, student accommodation and co-living sites. We only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards, and all of our partners are located in commutable areas with links to the amazing transport system that London has to offer. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes. Living arrangements involve sharing space with other Beyond Interns, young professionals, and students, fostering a fantastic opportunity to integrate into the local community.
You will get a private bedroom, and most accommodation options include a private bathroom and kitchenette. Some locations include shared living spaces, lounge areas, workspaces, cafe, gym etc. All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport.
As the demand for short-term accommodation is dynamic and availability can vary, we finalize the details of your specific accommodation and location approximately 3-4 weeks before your start date.
