Architectural interns use their creative and technical skills to sketch, design and implement structures – often to a specified brief given by a senior colleague or client.
Depending on the firm you join, you’ll likely help to design brand-new buildings, plan extensions to existing sites, or assist in conservation and restoration. These are all subtly different disciplines, and you’ll be keeping sustainability in mind whatever path you choose; architects have spent recent years using new techniques to keep environmental impacts to a minimum.
