What to Expect on an Internship in Finance and Accounting

Taking on a financial internship is a great way to gain some practical experience before moving into the larger world of work. Employers often look for demonstrable examples of key skills from their candidates; an internship in this sector will provide you with these real-world experiences for you to draw upon.

To that end, a financial internship will naturally see you working closely with numbers and data. Depending on your firm’s speciality, you could be producing analytical reports detailing stock market fluctuations for your colleagues; or you might be getting to grips with debt and tax as you prepare to advise clients on financial or accounting issues.
