Orientation
Take your first day to settle in and recover from any jet lag if you’re coming from abroad! On your second day, you’ll participate in a thorough orientation session, where we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about the city and what to expect from your program in the weeks and months ahead.

Your learning experience will differ depending on the length of your program. Each phase is designed to progressively build your skills, helping you communicate naturally and effectively in Korean while fully immersing yourself in the language and culture.

Andong Hahoe village showcases the amazing rich history of Korea. You’ll be immersed in traditional houses, shrines, museums and mask dance. With so much culture on offer, make sure you leave time for food. If weather conditions are unfavorable, fret not, we’ll take you on a temple stay experience for you to fully immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture!

We work with a few carefully selected partners in Seoul. Mainly co-living houses, student accommodation and shared houses, we only provide options that meet our safety, quality and cleanliness standards. You’ll be living with fellow Beyond Interns, students and some young professionals. So it’s a great way to integrate with local community for those traveling from overseas.
You will get a private bedroom with shared communal spaces (kitchen, living spaces etc). All rooms come with bedding and Wi-Fi, and often have a desk. Locations can vary but you’ll always be well located and near public transport. Depending on your office location, we try to ensure your commute time is 30-60 minutes.
Due to demand for short term accommodation and ever changing availability, we usually confirm your exact accommodation and location around 3-4 weeks before your start date.

Do I need to speak Korean already?
No prior Korean language experience is required. This beginner-friendly course is designed to teach you the basics of Korean from the ground up. Depending on the program length you choose, you’ll learn essential vocabulary, basic grammar, and gain the confidence to use conversational phrases in everyday situations. It’s the ideal way to kick-start your language journey while immersing yourself in Korean culture!
Is this course suitable for someone who already knows the basics?
Absolutely! This course is perfect for beginners, including those who have picked up a few basics, whether from a few months of Duolingo, introductory lessons, or some familiarity with the alphabet. We focus on building practical skills and fluency through conversation-based exercises, helping you strengthen your understanding of essential Korean language concepts. Whether you know a handful of phrases or just the basics, this program will deepen your foundation and help you make tangible progress. It’s ideal for turning your initial knowledge into real, useful language skills!
How many people are in a class?
No more than 10 students per class, ensuring personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.
How far in advance should I sign up?
We have limited spaces in our language programs, so we highly recommend securing your spot as early as possible to avoid missing out.
When do programs take place?

Do you offer any certification at the end of the program?
Yes, upon completing the program, you’ll receive a graduation certificate. This certificate will confirm your participation in the program and detail the level of language proficiency you achieved.
Can I earn academic credit?
To determine if you can earn academic credit for our language course, we recommend consulting with your school’s academic advisor or relevant department. They can review our course structure and assess its eligibility based on your school’s policies. We’re happy to provide any required documentation or course details to assist with this process, just let us know how we can help!
How many hours will I spend learning each week?
Each week, you’ll spend 15 hours in class, scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additionally, there’s a 2-hour open class session once a week where you can work on homework, ask your teacher questions, and practice with classmates. Twice a week, you’ll also engage in 6 hours of language exploration, applying what you’ve learned in real-world situations—like purchasing museum tickets, ordering food at a restaurant, or interacting with locals at a nearby market. This immersive experience will help boost your practical language skills and confidence in everyday settings.
